Floral Wedding Cakes

Bride's and Groom's cakes together. All the flowers are made of royal icing.

The Groom's Cake was chocolate peanut butter. This is about as scrumptious as it gets!

The Bride's cake was vanilla. Elegant, simple, delicious!

Easter Cake

I made this cake for my family for Easter this year. I love making cakes for my own family because I get to do whatever I want! HA!

Mickey Mouse

This fun cake was for a little girl's second birthday party!

Butterflies

This is one of my all time favorite cakes! It was made for a little girl's birthday party. The theme of the party was Fancy Nancy (a storybook character) so everything had to be really fancy. That was as much as anyone told me, "make it fancy!" and I came up with the rest on my own. When I got there, by an amazing coincidence, the whole party was decked out in butterflies! Three people contributed separately to the decorations and all of us chose butterflies! It was such a special day!

Maple Leaves

Maple leaves are some of the prettiest fall leaves in my opinion, and they were my inspiration for this cake made to celebrate the retirement and birthday of a friend's husband. The bottom tier of this cake is chocolate and the top is vanilla. The icing is buttercream.

Tiara Cake

This cake was for a very special girl's birthday. She wanted a cake with a tiara theme and this is what I came up with. I made the jewels out of fondant. The tiara itself, I bought. I considered making one out of gum paste, but realized that for a preschool age girl, the coolness of that would be lost compared to a cheap plastic one she could wear. According to her mom, I guessed right on that one! :-) The cake itself is chocolate with buttercream frosting.

A Cake For A Cook

This is a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. It was for a surprise birthday party for a lady who loves to cook. So, the top tier of the cake is a stove/oven and the vine going around the bottom two tiers has cooking/baking tools growing off of it!

Hydrangea Wedding Shower

This is a cake that I made for a wedding shower. It's vanilla cake with buttercream icing.

Argyle Cake

This was a surprise 40th birthday cake. It's a chocolate cake with buttercream icing. Men's cakes always challenge me because my real talent is flowers. It's fun to think of different ideas!

Jennifer's Cake

This is yet another red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. This cake was for a 21st birthday. I love the lime green with the daisies! Such a fun combination!

Cancer Free Cake!

This might be one of the most exciting reasons I've ever made a cake: to celebrate the end of cancer treatments! I wish I could make cakes for this reason every day! This is a chocolate cake with buttercream icing.

Chocolate Elegance

This is a birthday cake I made for a lady who works with my dad. He wanted me to "keep it simple" and this is what I came up with. It is a chocolate cake with chocolate filling and chocolate ganache/buttercream icing.

Blue Hydrangea Wedding Shower Cake

This is a wedding shower cake I made to serve 40 people. I was told the shower would be decorated with blue hydrangeas. The plan was to use some fresh flowers on top of the cake. It's a vanilla cake with buttercream icing.
